The Medical Council, in its recent newsletter, has highlighted that at year-end 2015, the medical workforce stood at 20,473 doctors, which is the highest number of doctors since statistics commenced. This is an increase of 889 doctors on the previous year.There has also been a significant increase in the number of new doctors registered.
