Big changes to the Master’s Court

The President of the High Court has today signed a practice direction confirming that as of Monday, 4 February 2019, all motions seeking liberty to enter final judgment will no longer be listed before the Master of the High Court, instead they will be listed in the common law motion list. Presently if a motion takes in excess of 15 minutes in the common law list, it must be transferred to the non-jury list.  This change will have a significant impact on an already busy ...
