A public consultation has been launched by the CIO of the HSE, Mr Richard Colbridge, in relation to a new national Electronic Health Record (EHR). The consultation is being used to gauge public opinion in relation to a number of issues such as data privacy, consent and prioritisation. The EHR will be similar to an online patient history but will also have a wide range of data and services available, such as ePrescribing and Case Management.  The consultation period will run until the 31st of January 2016.
