Queen’s Speech did not include Health and Social Care Regulation Bill

On 2 April 2014, the Law Commission published a report on the Regulation of Health and Social Care Professionals and published a draft bill for the reform of regulation of professionals in the UK.

Yesterday, the Queen unveiled the legislative programme in her 2015 speech. The programme did not include the Health and Social Care Professionals Bill.  A number of the professional regulators issued press releases yesterday, some of which expressed disappointment that the Bill was not on the legislative programme.
