Professional background

I know the importance of fighting for answers, accountability and fair compensation when something has gone wrong during hospital treatment, and I strive to deliver those to my clients.

I represent patients who have been harmed or catastrophically injured in hospitals, or while receiving medical care and treatment. I have represented families of those who have died in hospital in inquests and High Court rulings that attracted widespread media attention. I have acted in cases of medical negligence leading to cerebral palsy, Erb’s palsy and other birth injuries; surgical errors and negligence; GP negligence and delayed cancer diagnosis to name only a few examples.

I present frequently at conferences on medical negligence and inquests, and I am regularly asked by local and national media to comment on key developments in medical negligence litigation.

In addition to my legal practice, I am actively involved in raising awareness about prevention of birth injuries and advocating for improvements in healthcare practices.

Contact me today to discuss what happened during your treatment. Once I have heard your story, I will give you honest, straightforward and empathic advice on how best to pursue the accountability and closure you deserve.

I would like to express my enormous gratitude for all the time and effort Johan dedicated to ensuring my late dad received the justice he so rightly deserved. During what proved to be an extensive, lengthy case Johan never lost commitment or focus and kept us informed every step of the way. He made us feel heard and handled our case with enormous empathy and compassion. Johan not only represented us as a family to achieve a positive outcome for this case, he also restored my faith in people when it was at its lowest. Thank you Johan!
