Professional background

I have extensive experience in advising professional regulatory bodies in respect of the management of fitness to practise/disciplinary complaints received, from preliminary stage through to sanction. I lead a team of solicitors that advise routinely on all elements of the investigation, preparation and presentation of cases for hearing before disciplinary Committees and Boards/Councils of regulatory bodies.

I am an experienced litigator and regularly advise clients in respect of Superior Court litigation, including judicial review, statutory appeals, sanction confirmation applications and urgent applications for interim suspension orders and freezing orders under various pieces of legislation.  As an experienced advocate, I regularly appear before statutory Committees, Council/Boards, the District Court and the High Court to make applications and submissions, without the engagement of Counsel.

I specifically advise planning and environmental licensing authorities on environmental and planning law, including advising on challenges to planning and licensing decisions. I regularly advise on licensing/enforcement issues, including prosecution of statutory breaches in the District Court.

Outside of this, I have wide-ranging experience in healthcare law and clinical negligence litigation. I have also represented a number of clients on their engagement with and attendance before Commissions of Investigation.

I aim to providing focused, practical and timely advice that addresses legal issues for clients in a clear, concise and relatable manner.

I have been recognised by Legal500 EMEA as a "Next Generation Partner" for 2020 and 2021.
