Provisional damages for respiratory disability caused by asbestos exposure

Dushal Mehta settled a claim for Mr Ronald Kimber on a provisional damages basis which will enable Mr Kimber to make a further claim for compensation if his current condition deteriorates significantly or if he develops a malignant asbestos related condition.

Mr Kimber had a respiratory disability of 5% attributable to his asbestos related condition. The claim was pursued against Reading Co-Operative Society, Samuel Elliots & Sons and Reading Borough Council.

After the case Mr Kimber said:
