Headway Sussex is an independent charity that works to support individuals with brain injuries and their families. They provide reablement and well-being opportunities, continually evolving their services to offer advice, guidance, information and support.
Over the last two years we have been proud to help fund their helpline and wellbeing calls service. With our support, they have:
- Assisted an average of 1,500 callers per year, ensuring they were there for every voice in need.
- Supported them in handling approximately 125 calls per month, or about 4 calls every day, offering timely advice and reassurance.
- Helped them increase their capacity by 60%, allowing them to reach more individuals and families.
Claire Glasgow, Director in the Serious Injury Team, has been instrumental in this partnership, as a trustee and volunteer for the charity. She has been dedicated to driving forward their mission to improve the lives of those affected by brain injuries.
While this funding has now ceased, we look forward to continuing working closely with Headway Sussex in other ways. We would like to extend a thank you to everyone at the charity for the important work they do.
