The BBC has reported that research is being undertaken to develop a prostate cancer test to help identify aggressive prostate cancer from the non aggressive type. It is hoped that if a test can be developed then this will  identify those patients that need surgery and avoid unnecessary operations that carry risks of life long side effects.
