Star trio joins London medical negligence team

Fieldfisher is very pleased to announce that partners Ian Christian and Shivi Nathan have joined its London clinical negligence team, along with senior associate Rachel Morgan

The triple appointment augments the strength and reputation of the top-tier PIMN department and continues the firm's commitment to growth through exceptional people.

Ian Christian, who has more than 25 years' experience, specialises in high-value birth injury, neonatal claims and maternal death cases. He also runs a successful a sports injury practice, advising elite athletes on claims arising from substandard treatment by medical staff.

Legal 500 2022 described Ian as a “formidable leader” and “outstanding”. 

Shivi Nathan is particularly known for her expertise in representing women who have suffered traumatic injuries during birth and recently co-authored a chapter in the book Pelvic Floor, Perineal and Anal Sphincter Trauma during childbirth. Shivi is a regular guest speaker at medico-legal conferences and hosts specialist study days.  

Shivi is an APIL accredited Senior Litigator and on the panel as a clinical negligence specialist for AvMA (Action against Medical Accidents). 

Rachel Morgan specialises in Erbs Palsy and Cauda Equina Syndrome and spinal injury claims.
