Jessica is a Solicitor Apprentice in the clinical negligence team. She works within the Medical Negligence team assisting partner, Jonathan Zimmern.
She has assisted on a wide variety of high value, complex claims including birth injury claims, wrongful birth claims, spinal injury claims, obstetric tear claims, surgical claims, orthopaedic claims and delay in diagnosis of cancer claims. She also has experience working on fatal accidents claims. Last year, she assisted Jonathan Zimmern in recovering over £40 million worth of compensation for claimants.
She is passionate about helping claimants injured by negligence and works empathetically to understand their individual needs. She works alongside independent medical experts and barristers in investigating potential allegations of negligence and honing the evidence needed to win a case.
After gaining her psychology degree at Cardiff University in July 2018, she decided to pursue law as a career and joined the clinical negligence team at Fieldfisher as a Legal Support Assistant in January 2019. She began her solicitor apprenticeship in January 2020 which involves studying for the LLB in Legal Practice and Skills the Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE) while working at the firm.
Jessica will qualify as a solicitor in January 2026 with over 6 years' experience of acting on behalf of patients and their families.
She volunteers for the AvMA (Action against Medical Accidents) helpline.
