Professional background

Professional background

I have specialised in claimant Medical Negligence for the past 20 years.

My experience includes representing children and adults in cases of the maximum severity. I focus on obstetric claims where children have sustained brain injuries during or just after birth.

I represent clients affected by maternal birth injuries and birth trauma – physical and psychological. I led the claimant team in the widely reported case of Davison v Leitch securing record breaking damages of £1.6m for my client.

I am regularly recommended to women affected by perineal tear injury directly from their clinicians and through word of mouth via a close knit and trusted community. I recently co-authored a chapter in the latest edition of the book Pelvic Floor, Perineal and Anal Sphincter Trauma during childbirth.

I work closely with training and medical leads for the acute care medical trainees at various London hospital trusts and run study days and medico-legal training for the staff on issues including inquests and note taking.

I am a regular guest speaker at medico-legal conferences and host specialist study days.

I am an APIL accredited Senior Litigator and am on the panel as a clinical negligence specialist for AvMA (Action against Medical Accidents).
