ADVERTISING | Code of conduct for advertising through influencers
Autocontrol has published the new version of the ‘Code of Conduct for Advertising through Influencers’. This code applies to companies that are members of the Spanish Advertisers Association (AEA), those that are members of AUTOCONTROL and IAB Spain, influencers, influencer agencies, advertising agencies and other companies that adhere to it. The Catalan Competition Authority (ACCO) collaborates with the CNMC in banning a merger
Last week, the National Commission on Markets and Competition (CNMC) announced that it was blocking the purchase of an innovation and development centre specialising in radiopharmaceuticals by a pharmaceutical company.
According to the CNMC, this acquisition would pose a threat to effective competition in the PET radiopharmaceuticals market. Furthermore, it considers that neither the measures proposed by the pharmaceutical company nor the conditions assessed would be sufficient to restore the competition that would be lost as a result of the transaction.
This decision represents one of the few cases in which a business merger has been prevented. To this end, the CNMC had the support of the Catalan Competition Authority (ACCO), which also opposed the transaction.
