Professional background

As an employment lawyer based in Madrid, I specialize in advising international companies from a wide range of sectors (including technology, pharmaceutical, business consultancy, retail, industrial) as well as office-based employees on all aspects of employment, labour and Social Security law in Spain.

My practice focuses heavily on international and cross-border matters, with an emphasis on understanding and translating the differences in business culture and HR needs between our clients’ jurisdictions and Spain.

Among others, I provide advice on day-to-day employment matters, participate in restructuring, TUPE, collective bargaining and trade union-related proceedings, as well as regularly represent clients in mediations and court proceedings before local judges, High Courts and the Supreme Court.

I also frequently assist clients in drafting and negotiating employment contracts from a legal and strategic perspective, drafting and implementing company policies and setting up as new employers in Spain. As part of my international experience, I participated in a 6-month internship at Fieldifsher's Dublin office and completed part of my law studies in the United States (Duke University School of Law) and Germany (Freie Universität Berlin).
