Medical Practitioners Tribunal Hearing (MPTS) - Finds Expert Guilty of Misconduct

The Fitness to Practise Panel of the MPTS recently handed down a judgment resulting in the medico-legal practitioner Mr Titus Odendum being erased form the Medical Register. The MPTS Panel found that Mr Odendun in the context of acting as an expert had provided false information regarding certain specialist qualification and memberships of professional bodies so that he would be able to obtain a higher fee. Mr Odendun’s actions were found to amount to professional misconduct and his fitness to practise was held to be impaired.
