The importance of note taking for all professionals involved in investigations is in the news as a result of a senior Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission (GSOC) investigator’s report and his proposal that the Ombudsman Commission writes to the Garda Síochána and makes observations regarding the standard of note keeping during investigations.
