The Professional Standards Authority (the “PSA”) in the UK has published a revised Right-touch regulation paper. Right-touch regulation, October 2015 was first published five years ago and outlines the approach that the PSA encourages health and social care professional regulators to work towards.
The revised Right-touch regulation paper outlines the development in thinking in relation to the role and value of regulation. The paper explores common themes which have emerged through the PSA’s oversight of the health professional regulators and in their advice and recommendations to government on areas of regulatory policy.
