Professional background

I have significant judicial review experience in the Superior Courts and the CJEU, in particular cases involving EU planning/environmental law. I have been involved in challenges to consents for a gas pipeline, a number of large wind and solar farms, road developments, strategic housing developments, data centres, development plans, and marine developments. I have also acted in a number of injunction proceedings concerning unauthorised development and enforcement proceedings concerning unlicensed activities such as commercial peat extraction. I am an experienced and trained advocate, regularly representing clients in court and tribunal settings.

My expertise also incorporates ESG, including advice on emissions-trading-scheme, avoiding greenwashing, non-financial reporting, greenhouse gas emissions targets, resource usage, waste management, sustainability governance, data protection & privacy issues, inclusivity & diversity, and health & safety.

I have a degree in environmental science, including 5 years' experience as an environmental consultant, and therefore a wealth of experience in contaminated land and implications for groundwater and surface water receptors. I regularly advises corporate clients on due diligence and risk associated with mergers and acquisitions.
