Training and development
A career at Fieldfisher means you will have the ongoing opportunity to develop yourself, your skills and your legal knowledge. As an entrepreneurial firm, enterprising, commercial people will find more room to develop at all levels - not least in the transition to partnership.
We have a history of giving responsibility early to those who excel – and a development programme (including a huge range of secondment opportunities) that will help you build your skills and experience at speed. Furthermore, we work hard to make sure our lawyers gain exposure to business development, honing the skills they need to make an impact on the growth of the firm.
Experienced lawyer roles
We have over 300 Partners across the firm with over 180 in our UK offices. We endeavour to internally promote as many people to our partnership as we are able, but will always be open to a discussion with prospective lateral partners who have an interest in Fieldfisher. To be considered for our partnership we will be interested in understanding:
- Your current client base and revenues
- The portability of that client base
- Whether you have a team or can fit into our existing structure
- What drives you in terms of your values
Should you be interested in a discussion please contact our Partner Recruitment Manager, Kerry Corby, who can give you more detail around the lateral partner recruitment experience and direct you to key individuals in your practice area for an initial discussion.
Agency recruiters/search firms are advised that if they wish to submit a lateral partner candidate to Fieldfisher they must connect with Kerry in the first instance and agree terms of business before any initial meeting can be arranged. Until this takes place the firm does not consider itself bound by any agency's terms of business.
We regularly seek to employ experienced solicitors into our varied practice areas, from newly-qualified lawyers up to Director level. Should you wish to explore working with Fieldfisher when we have an opportunity relevant to your experience, you will be fully briefed by our well informed in-house recruiters, as well as meet the lawyers in the team to gain a comprehensive understanding of the clients, the work and the culture.
We are keen to engage with talented lawyers with plenty of motivation and ambition to progress, but who also demonstrate a true understanding of the importance of being a collaborative colleague, working in harmony with their team and always living our values.
Should you be interested in a discussion please contact our fee earner Recruitment Manager, Kerry Corby who can give you more detail around the fee earner recruitment experience.
Agency recruiters are advised that we operate preferred supplier relationships and it is highly unlikely they we will engage with other agencies, except in very exceptional circumstances. If you are not a preferred supplier, but wish to submit a fee earner candidate to Fieldfisher you must connect with Kerry in the first instance and agree terms of business before any initial meeting can be arranged. Until this takes place the firm does not consider itself bound by any agency's terms of business.
