Practical insights on handling subject access and deletion requests
We will run an interactive session involving an overview of the current data protection laws involved (including the new Data Use and Access Act) regulatory guidance, and recent caselaw so that attendees can be confident of the current advice. Analysis of exemptions involved will be worked through as a group with practical examples to bring the guidance to life. Some comparison with EU practices and exemptions will be made. This will have ample time for questions and answers and discussion about the issues involved with peers and Fieldfisher experts. Finally, we will workshop some scenarios and common issues as a group enabling wider discussion about the problems experienced daily when handling DSARs. We will also have details of digital solutions available.
