Feedback Requests by European Commission on Draft Regulation on Approval for Pesticides

On 3 September 2020, the European Commission published a Request for Feedback on its Draft Implementing Regulation amending the rules on renewing approvals for pesticides.

These amendments have been prepared in view of the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2019/1381 on the transparency and sustainability of the EU risk assessment in the food chain, which includes new rules on:

• advice given to applicants;
• commissioned studies;
• public consultations on scientific studies;
• public disclosure of applications and supporting scientific studies/data;
• confidentiality;
• standard data formats.

The feedback period is open until 1 October 2020.
