Rem joins from Acuity Law, where he served as a partner, head of its TMT, privacy and IP law practice and the firm's CIO. Prior to that he was a partner at DWF and Michelmores.
A leading UK expert in the field of IT, IP, communications, privacy and cybersecurity law, Rem has first-hand industry experience and brings a unique set of capabilities to Fieldfisher, combining specialist legal knowledge with applied engineering and technology consulting expertise and insight.
He has extensive advisory, regulatory and transactional experience acting for supply- and customer-side clients, including advising on sourcing strategies; large scale/complex IT, digital and business transformation projects; telecoms and network infrastructure projects; BPOs, BPR and automation (including RPA and AI/machine learning); cloud services (SaaS, IaaS and PaaS), systems integration, software licensing and bundling; blockchains, smart contracts and digital assets; tech-IP protection, structuring and commercialisation; data privacy & cybersecurity – strategy, compliance and breach management; and UK/EU competition law and State aid.
Rem's clients operate across a wide range of sectors, including TMT, manufacturing, automotive, financial services, retail, food and drink, life science, pharma, and public sector.
