European law firm Fieldfisher has hired François de Senneville as a partner in its Paris office to lead the firm's new Africa Desk.
Over the past months Fieldfisher, and particularly its Paris office, have worked on creating and developing an African offer, as part of its global offering. The recruitment of François de Senneville, a leader in his field, will enlarge the Paris scope of expertise and allow it to develop a new clientele in specific and fast growing markets on the African continent.
François is an African business expert and was partner and head of the Africa desk at Lazareff Le Bars. An international tax specialist with more than twenty five years' experience, he specialises in assisting international organisations in establishing, developing and reorganising business activities as well as advising on acquisition structures, tax audits and international arbitration. He frequently advises clients on structuring foreign investments into Africa.
François has vast experience in Africa, having previously worked as head of tax for the Deloitte France African cluster, a role in which he was responsible for advising clients in 17 countries across francophone Africa.
François said: "Fieldfisher is a firm with tremendous growth potential, both in Paris and across its international reach. The firm has a number of African specialists across its offices and I will be working hand-in-hand with them to provide a structured, global offer to clients with growing needs across the African continent. It's a very exciting time to be joining, and I'm looking forward to contributing to the firm's continued growth."
Bruno Paccioni, managing partner of Fieldfisher's Paris office, said: "Francois is very well known for his expertise in African business having worked for clients across the continent. We are delighted that he is joining Fieldfisher. This new African Desk, led by François, will help us to widen our offer by approaching new countries and new economic systems with specific client needs.
