Fieldfisher's growth equity team has advised Genesis Global Technology Limited, a London and Miami-based global low code/no code FinTech business, on a US$200 million Series C equity fundraising.
Tiger Global, the New York-headquartered leading global growth investor in the technology sector, led the Series C fundraising with participation from Accel, GV (formerly Google Ventures), Insight Partners, Illuminate Financial, Salesforce Ventures and Tribeca Early Stage Partners. The funding will be used to expand the Genesis platform, developer community and “buy-to-build” model.
Genesis' "low code/no code" application development platform is purpose-built for financial markets organisations to increase operational efficiency and empower global IT teams by providing them with a platform that helps them streamline and accelerate development of software applications, systems integrations and customisation of third-party technology solutions.
The Genesis platform seamlessly and swiftly integrates with a firm’s technology ecosystem, offsetting the need to invest resources into new systems. Genesis' buy-to-build approach enables clients to deploy applications at speed and scale, creating a strategic advantage through rapid technology development.
Fieldfisher's growth equity team specialises in advising innovative businesses, particularly in the technology and FinTech sectors, which are growing at pace.
The team provides corporate transactional experience in fundraisings from international financial and strategic partners alongside Fieldfisher's deep expertise in critical areas ranging from regulatory to employment advice, data protection and privacy to commercial contracts.
Commenting on the closing of the Series C round, Genesis CEO Stephen Murphy said:
"The Genesis platform is already trusted by leading institutions from Citi and ING to Alliance Bernstein and B3 to speed innovation and accelerate delivery of purpose-built financial markets applications."
"We have worked hard to become central to IT delivery across financial markets, and we are increasing our focus on and commitment to our growing developer community. In the coming months, and with this new funding, we expect to onboard thousands of new developers and support them in their buy-to-build journey while continuing to expand our global network of institutional partners."
