The Fieldfisher Insolvency and Restructuring team has been included in the Global Restructuring Review (GRR) 100 for the fifth consecutive year.

GRR 100 is an authoritative guide to the leading law firms globally for cross-border restructuring and insolvency.

Over the past 15 years, the firm’s restructuring and insolvency practice has expanded significantly, growing from two partners in London to 14 specialists across eight jurisdictions, including Austria, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and the UK.

The firm’s inclusion reflects its ability to handle complex, high-profile matters such as the Lehman Brothers Finance insolvency and the Carillion cases, as well as its innovative work, including achieving a rare centre-of-main-interests (COMI) shift from Jersey to the UK for non-domiciled companies in the Circle Oil, enabling a cross-border administration.

Notable cases highlighted in the editorial include:

  • Advising on the insolvency of German Property Group, a €1.5 billion real estate fraud matter.
  • Representing liquidators of Argyle UAE in a multi-jurisdictional US$18 million financing fraud case spanning Bermuda, the UK, and Switzerland.
  • Acting on the administration of projection technologies supplier, Compound Photonics Group, in a matter affected by Russian sanctions.
  • Supporting Singulus Group, an innovator of thin-film coatings and surface treatment processes, with restructuring its debt structure across Germany and the UK.

The guide also recognised Fieldfisher Partners Bruno Paccioni in France; Andreas Driver, Daniel Kamke and Jonas Mark in Germany; Mark Woodcock in Ireland; Ettore Bonaccorsi in Italy; Tomás Nart in Spain, Marcel Willems in the Netherlands and Chris Keane, Carly Schiff, Kit Jarvis, Michelle Shean and Stewart Perry in the UK.

Fieldfisher’s inclusion in the GRR 100 recognises the group’s exceptional work and achievements in complex cross-border restructuring and insolvency matters.

Fieldfisher’s clients, including financial institutions, insolvency practitioners, and government bodies, praised the firm, with one testimonial stating that the firm provides “timely and insightful advice which takes into account not only the legal aspects but overlaying commercial considerations."

The recognition underscores Fieldfisher’s position as a key player in addressing the challenges of cross-border restructuring and insolvency across Europe.
