In association with Cornwall House and the G7 Summit, Cornwall Trade and Investment hosted a panel of presentations and virtual discussions with mining industry specialists on 10 June 2021 at 11:00 BST to showcase the mining sector in Cornwall and Southwest England.
The event, entitled "Invest in the future of mining" featured a short video presentation and industry insights from Fieldfisher Head of Mining and Metals, Jonathan Brooks focusing on the UK's role in supporting clean minerals and metals supply chains.
The presentation formed part of the firm's wider focus on mining finance, sustainability in natural resources and the EU Conflict Minerals Regulation.
Jonathan and his team advise on the majority of active mining projects in the UK, including copper and tin projects in Cornwall; gold in Northern Ireland and Scotland; and coal in Wales and England, as well as numerous mining and metals trading operations across the world.
Fieldfisher has also published a copy of its new guide, Supplying responsibly: Towards a clean minerals supply chain, covering the impact of new legislation and enhanced scrutiny of raw materials sourcing practices.
