European law firm, Fieldfisher, has advised pioneering delivery company, HIVED, in securing funding to scale its business nationwide.

The Emerging Company and Venture Capital (ECVC) team at Fieldfisher, having worked with HIVED previously, provided strategic legal advice on the transaction, which will allow the AI-powered, all electric delivery provider to grow its engineering and data teams and further develop its proprietary logistics intelligence platform, HIVEDmind.

It will also mean that HIVED can continue its UK expansion, setting up operations in new cities such as Manchester, where co-founder — Murvah Iqbal — is originally from.

HIVED is a UK-based sustainable delivery company building an all-electric, AI-powered logistics network. The team has grown to over 120 people, with 20% of employees having started as drivers.

Following a series of transactions in the sustainability sector, including advising low-carbon travel startup Byway on £5 Million Series A Investment, this deal demonstrates Fieldfisher's ECVC team's expertise in advising fast-growth, innovative companies, particularly those with a strong sustainability agenda.

The Fieldfisher team was led by Director Andy Oliver, with Tom Ward acting as Client Partner.

Murvah Iqbal said: "We've worked with Fieldfisher for several years now as a trusted partner and thoroughly enjoy working with them. Working with a firm who really understand start-ups and venture is extremely powerful."

Commenting on the deal, Andy Oliver said: “We’re proud to support HIVED on this significant milestone. Their mission to transform parcel delivery through sustainability and technology is exactly the kind of innovation we’re passionate about backing. This funding round is a strong endorsement of their vision and momentum, and we’re excited to see what’s next as they scale across the UK.”
