Entering the office
Main Entrance
There is step free access to the main reception area on the ground
floor.
There are automatic doors that allow access to the Reception area,
these include revolving doors and power-assisted wheelchair accessible doors.
Revolving doors have blue buttons located on the right hand side, which
slow the door rotation, allowing ease of access. The button is 900mm high from the
ground.
Wheelchair accessible doors are located on two sides of the building,
next to the revolving doors. They are power-assisted and have ‘Push to Open’
buttons located nearby, once pressed, doors automatically open allowing users
to pass through. The button is 790mm from the ground.
Guests will need to sign in at the main reception and provide a form of
identification (such as a passport or driving license). Guests will be provided
with a temporary pass that will provide access through the secure gates on the
ground floor (there is a wheelchair accessible gate on the right hand side).
Reception and security staff can assist you to operate the gates and lift
buttons as required.
Lifts
Once you have gained access through the security gates, you will need to
select the '17th floor'. Some of the lifts are dedicated to specific
floors. Lifts C, E, F, G & H are available for those who require access to
the 17th floor.
Lift call points have identifiable buttons (some are touch-screen and
some are standard buttons), which identify the assigned lift by the lift letter
flashing, a bell sounding, and a verbal announcement. There is a wheelchair
symbol button that you can press if required - this slows the lift doors
closing, allowing users to access the lifts. The lift button is
930mm from the ground. Staff are available to
assist.
Fieldfisher Offices – 17th Floor
Our client meeting rooms, reception, and working spaces are based on the
17th floor of No.1 Spinningfields.
The front door entrance before entering reception is 900mm
is wide. These doors are not automatic but a Fieldfisher receptionist will be
there to assist with door-opening.
Upon arrival,
visitors will sign in via SkyVisitor, which will notify Fieldfisher reception
of their arrival. Guests will be greeted by a Receptionist upon arrival on the
17th floor. They will then be seated in either the waiting area on the 17th
floor, or directly in a meeting room. When leaving the building, guests are
required to return their passes to reception on the ground floor, to ensure
they are signed out of the building. Guests who have left the building without
their pass must report to security before re-entering the building.
Emergency exits
are clearly marked and alarm activation points are located throughout No.1
Spinningfields, next to the fire escape doors at each level in the core of the
building. Portable fire extinguishers are found within our demise, as well as
on all floors, fire escape stair lobbies and ground, lower ground and basement
floor areas.
Meeting Rooms
All meeting rooms are accessible for wheelchair users. Staff are on
hand to assist with doors. The meeting room doors are 1000mm in width.
Facilities
We have one accessible toilet on the 17th floor, located
next to gender separated toilets. The toilets are located on the left or right
hand side of the lift depending on which lift you exit from.
The accessible toilet has an emergency alarm pull cord and a hand rail.
The door is 970mm in width. The other toilet doors are 830mm in width.
Please note, this is not a changing places bathroom. The nearest fully
accessible changing places bathroom with hoisting and changing bed facilities
is located at the Science and Industry Museum. There is another one located at
Manchester Central Library. More information can be found here.
Prayer Room
There is no specific prayer room in the building but if a guest needs
access to an area for prayer, they should notify the Facilities team who will
provide them with a private and quiet area.

There are two trained first-aiders on site, located at the Concierge
point. Audible fire alarms are carried out weekly.
We also have the following items on the 17th floor:
