Alex Campbell

I have over 25 years’ international finance experience gained in London and Paris (including secondments at Barclays and BNP Paribas).

I specialise in UK and pan-European structured finance, including both true sale and synthetic securitisation. I advise originators, arrangers, issuers, trustees, servicers, cash managers, liquidity facility providers and account banks on both the establishment of structured finance transactions and on subsequent underlying collateral defaults and restructuring arrangements.

I have advised on transactions involving a variety of underlying assets, including residential mortgages, commercial mortgages, consumer leases, housing association loans and note instrument receivables.

I also advise both lenders and borrowers on the origination of corporate and real estate loans involving assets located across Europe and in emerging markets.

My experience includes advising on acquisition, development and asset finance, together with related intercreditor and debt/equity restructuring matters. I am part of Fieldfisher's Hotel and Leisure Group and advise on hotel management agreements and franchise agreements.

I am Vice President of The Association of Corporate Trustees (TACT).
