Professional background

I specialise in equity capital markets transactions and have over 20 years' experience of advising on flotations, fundraisings and takeovers, principally on AIM but also on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange.

I have a particular focus on the technology and energy & natural resources sectors.

I have also been advising on crowdfunding and mini-bond issues since 2010 and am one of the most experienced practitioners in the field, having worked on fundraisings for Ecotricity, the Eden Project, Good Energy, Mr & Mrs Smith and Chilango.

I also advised Crowdcube on the establishment of its mini-bond platform.

Recent work includes:
  • Acting for Dowgate Capital Stockbrokers on its £175 million fundraising and reverse takeover for Standard Listed S4 Capital;
  • Advising Poly Glorious Investment Company Limited on its £50 million takeover of AIM-quoted MayAir Group plc;
  • Acting for KRM22 plc on its £12 million IPO and subsequent acquisitions & fundraisings;
  • Advising boutique travel company Mr & Mrs Smith on a £6 million crowdfunding round via the investment platform, Crowdcube.
The current edition of Chambers & Partners lists me as a notable practitioner in "Capital Markets: AIM" and the team is ranked Band 1 for the same category.

Legal 500 ranks my team in tier 2 for "Flotations: small and mid-cap" and cites me as a "key figure" in Fieldfisher's "standout" team.
