Professional background
I am a lawyer in the Criminal & Compliance area, and I have devoted my entire professional career to economic, corporate and banking criminal law. I defend and represent both individuals and legal entities before courts and tribunals throughout Spain, and I have been involved in criminal proceedings of significant relevance and public importance. In addition, I have participated in the creation, design and implementation of numerous criminal compliance programmes for national and multinational companies, foundations, associations and political parties.
My comprehensive understanding of criminal law — and my passion for this field — has also led me to take on the defence of many cases in the area of prison law, both before the prison administration and before criminal enforcement and prison supervision courts. I combine this work with my role as a member of the Prison Law Committee of the Barcelona Bar Association.
I have also written several legal articles and have been invited to speak and participate in various conferences and university courses on procedural and criminal law, compliance and prison law.
