Professional background

I advise public bodies in relation to all aspects of their functions, including providing strategic advices on licensing and enforcement functions, freedom of information and planning decision functions, prosecutions and litigation including judicial review and appeals in the Superior Courts.

I have worked on high profile planning judicial review proceedings and regularly advise on and prepare prosecutions in respect of environmental offences, including breaches of various statutory provisions in national and European environmental legislation. I have also assisted with implementing financial provision for environmental liabilities arising from the closure of mines, waste transfer stations and pharma plants.

I hold an Advanced Diploma in Planning and Environmental Law from the Honourable Society of King's Inns, and lecture part-time, teaching Planning and Environmental law to undergraduates.
