Professional background

I act for UK and international lenders, private equity sponsors, corporate borrowers and retail and commercial property investment and development funds. I have advised on a wide range of banking and finance transactions, in particular, UK and cross border acquisition finance transactions (including private equity backed leveraged buyouts and management buy-outs/buy-ins), corporate M&A (including bilateral, club and syndicated loans to corporate borrowers) and restructuring and refinancing matters (including recapitalisations, equity cures, debt for equity swaps and pre-packs).

I have a particular focus on the financial institutions, hotels, retail & leisure, life sciences & healthcare and technology, media & telecommunications sectors.

I qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2001 and am a member of the Law Society of England and Wales.

I like to spend much of my spare time with my two young children. Alternatively, I can be found looking for my golf ball in the rough on a golf course somewhere or following my beloved Liverpool FC.
