Professional background

I have a wealth of experience in commercial crime, including multi-jurisdictional corporate investigations into fraud, bribery and corruption, involving governmental agencies and regulatory bodies. This includes advising clients in respect of potential liability under the UK Bribery Act 2010.

I have assisted clients in conducting cross-border internal investigations, and in reviewing and advising on internal compliance procedures.

My experience extends to sectors including Energy and Natural Resources and Financial Services.

I am a Corporate Crime Contributor for LexisPSL. Recent contributions include publications and video analysis in respect of the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023 and corporate criminal liability.

Recent work highlights include:

  • Working for several years on a high-profile investigation by the SFO which ended in a discontinuance;
  • Advising company directors in respect of prosecutions by Companies House;
  • Internal investigations across sectors including Life Sciences, Retail and Technology, involving listed companies and multi-national conglomerates; and
  • Conducting interviews in the course of internal investigations.

I am a native Portuguese speaker.
