Franchising in Europe - wind of change or road to nowhere

A recent study commissioned by the EU's Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee considers the current legal framework which regulates franchising in the EU and proposes a shake-up of national self-regulatory bodies, like the British Franchise Association in the UK, and the introduction of an EU-wide franchise law to overcome certain perceived challenges. In our article, we consider the merits of the study and report on the latest developments.
