I've been talking and writing about the cloud for some years and continue to be fascinated by the debate on regulatory risk. Cloud solutions rolled out on an industrial scale are frequently more robust than an organization's home grown IT.
However, the perception of heightened risk remains among regulators, consumers and the press... which is why I wrote about the "cloud compliance myth" in my post on LinkedIn (link below).
I argue that many of the issues can be addressed through some simple steps at the start of any cloud adoption programme coupled with an understanding of the issues.
