2024 saw continued growth and further consolidation of Fieldfisher Ireland's real estate finance offering which has seen significant growth over the last two years.
Led by Paddy Smyth (Partner- Real Estate) and Aaron McGarry (Director – Finance) the team recently closed out a €101m facility for firm client MetLife on its financing of Tesco's national distribution centre in Dublin and a €17.5m facility for the purchase and financing of a residential apartment block in south County Dublin for another international investor into Ireland.
This comes off the back of a number of other transactions in 2023/2024 advising similar profile clients on Irish based assets ranging in value from €20m-€70m focused in particular on:
- Hotels
- Distribution centres
- Student accommodation
- Residential apartment/large development sites
