Peter O'Neill

I am an experienced commercial lawyer practicing in all aspects of commercial and corporate law. I have considerable experience acting for Irish and international clients in relation to domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions as well as private equity, corporate investments, joint ventures, framework structures, and shareholders’ agreements, and re-organisations (both Irish and cross-border).  I also advise companies and directors on corporate governance issues, the application of the Companies Act and the duties and obligations of directors, as well as advising clients on agency agreements and entitlements under Commercial Agent Regulations.

I advise clients engaged across a large breadth of renewable energy assets (including onshore wind; offshore wind; solar; battery storage; and biomass). In particular, I have provided strategic advice on large infrastructure projects, joint venture and partnership arrangements entered into by clients in this area.

In addition to the renewable energy sector, I have strong experience advising clients across a number of sectors including consumer, tech, industrials, data centres and public bodies.
