Our work with civil society organisations
European Disability Forum

The European Disability Forum is a network of disability organisations that advocates for systemic change for disabled people across Europe. Fieldfisher Brussels provided the organisation with research that assisted them in challenging the legalities of social service reforms in an EU member state.

iProbono

Incubated at Fieldfisher, iProbono was founded in 2009 by former Director of Corporate Responsibility, Shireen Irani, and is now one of the leading justice organisations in Asia. Fieldfisher has historically provided operational support to assist iProbono in its mission to strengthen civil society, litigate for people in need, and advocate for equal justice.

The Newham project

"This report highlights the challenges local residents face at present in getting crucial legal support. As it demonstrates, legal aid providers and legal advice organisations in the borough are stretched beyond their capacity. Many residents who are eligible for legal aid, or require free legal advice, cannot find a solicitor to take their case, or have to travel long distances to access legal help… I would like to thank all the organisations that have contributed to this report, especially Fieldfisher LLP and the Public Law Project, who have produced this report." - Rt Hon Sir Stephen Timms, MP for East Ham.

University clinics

Fieldfisher is partnered with the legal advice clinics at Queen Mary's University and the University of Manchester to provide access to justice for the local community. Fieldfisher contributes to the learning and development of aspiring lawyers and ensures access to justice for the local community.

Whizz-Kidz

Whizz-Kidz is the UK's leading charity for young wheelchair users, providing equipment and opportunities to level the playing field for young disabled people. They have become a long-term and regular pro bono client of the firm; our fee-earners have assisted the organisation on a range of legal issues including contract and IP matters.
