Government research finds link between loneliness and mental health distress
The findings coincide with the start of Loneliness Awareness Week. Ministers from a range of departments are to launch a renewed effort to tackle loneliness. During the pandemic, the £750 million charity funding package provided by the Government identified loneliness as a specific target category to address. Read more.

Interim manager appointed to the Kantor Foundation and Kantor Charitable Foundation
The Charity Commission has opened statutory inquiries into these two charities following the sanctioning of the billionaire Dr Kantor under the Russia Sanctions regime. The Regulator's position is that individuals subject to UK financial sanctions cannot discharge their trustee duties.
