Leading European law firm Fieldfisher has acted for shareholders on the sale of Kent-based farming and fruit product business Fourayes to Belgian-based international food firm Puratos. The move significantly enhances Puratos' reach across the European fruit processing markets.
Fourayes is a third-generation, family owned and operated fruit processor and jam manufacturer and is the largest grower and processor of fruit in the UK.
Puratos, headquartered in Belgium, offers a full range of innovative products, raw materials and application expertise to the bakery, patisserie and chocolate sectors. The firm was founded in 1919 and now has representation in 100 countries and has a turnover of €2billion.
The Fieldfisher team was led by Corporate partner David Wilkinson, supported by associate Caitilín Hepworth.
