European law firm Fieldfisher has advised Swedish listed investment business, Vestum, on its acquisition of Nortech Management Holdings. Nortech will be part of Vestum's Flow Technology segment which offers market-leading niche products focused on improving water infrastructure and enabling the efficiency of energy and water consumption.

Nortech, based in the UK, is a market leader in the structurally growing energy and water distribution sector, supplying innovative monitoring and control technology. Vestum has been working with Nortech for a decade, and this acquisition will allow the Swedish company to continue its strategy of acquiring high-margin companies in growing industrial niches.

A cross-practice, cross-office team at Fieldfisher advised Vestum on its acquisition. The team was led by partner Tom Rush, who was supported by senior associate Alex Morris, associate Felicity Hart and trainee solicitor Rhiya Vaidya from the Corporate team, director John Tolman and associate Shamima Khan from the Tax team, and solicitor Mark Linnane from the Employment team. The collaboration ensured that Vestum was advised on every step of the process, resulting in a smooth transaction for everyone involved.

Tom Rush commented: "We are delighted to have supported new client Vestum on their strategically important acquisition, which will allow them to continue their strategy of adding specialised businesses to their group. We wish them every success for the future."

This deal follows a number of recent projects for the M&A team, including advising Astral Tech on a strategic deal to transform energy data services, advising a leading Kazakhstan telecoms company on landmark transaction and  advising InteleTravel on its second UK acquisition in a year.
