European law firm Fieldfisher is pleased to announce the appointment of Maria Bejan as a partner in its Vienna office. A seasoned commercial disputes and international arbitration specialist, Maria brings extensive cross-border experience and a strong track record in resolving complex legal matters across multiple jurisdictions.

Maria has worked as an attorney and most recently, partner for several well-known Austrian law firms, specialising in high-stakes litigation and international arbitration cases, particularly post-M&A disputes. She is also a qualified mediator, recognised for her pragmatic and strategic approach to dispute resolution.

With her appointment, Fieldfisher continues to grow its disputes offering in Austria. She joins the dispute resolution team led by practitioner and arbitration expert Dr Alice Meissner, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to delivering top-tier expertise in contentious matters.

Darren’s hire marks another milestone in Fieldfisher’s ongoing expansion of its broader international dispute resolution capabilities. Fieldfisher's disputes offering now comprises more 450 contentious lawyers across the firm’s international network. Over the past 12 months, the firm has enhanced its specialist litigation offering through notable additions, including commercial and banking litigation expert John McElroy and commercial disputes and arbitration specialist Darren Kenny.
