Kamke joins with two senior associates, Dr Fabian Schumann and Dr Carsten Lamberth, and associate Dr Dominic Weber, growing the function to 36 lawyers comprising 12 partners.
Daniel Kamke specialises in financial and corporate structuring and restructuring. He has successfully advised investors in distressed debt and NPL transactions and in the provision of alternative financing for many years. In the course of his career, he has acted on a number of high-profile transactions including, most recently, the acquisition of the Real Group by investor SCP.
The new team complements the existing advisory spectrum of Fieldfisher's corporate practice in Germany, and will build on its capability for advising national and international investors and companies on corporate, finance and insolvency law, particularly in the areas of reorganisations and restructurings.
The move follows the recently announced launch of the firm' dedicated legal tech and operations unit in Berlin, Fieldfisher X, led by partner Jan Wildhirth and comprising 10 professionals, including five lawyers and three partners, in legal tech, data science, operations and litigation.
