Recent events within the eurozone have heightened the level of attention given to the possibility of a eurozone fragmentation.  We have for a number of months assisted our clients in assessing the risks on financing transactions of a potential eurozone fragmentation.  In light of the renewed emphasis on these issues and the gradual move towards greater clarity over the way in which a fragmentation might occur, we have updated the attached briefing paper.  As well as considering the general principles on contractual arrangements, the paper applies those principles to specific types of financing arrangement, including loans, bonds, derivatives, repos and securities lending transactions.
