Edward Miller

I am a partner in the Fieldfisher derivatives team, with over 25 years' experience advising on derivatives, repo and stock-lending transactions.  My experience covers all types of underlyings (interest rates, credit, equities, FX and commodities), and includes advising on netting, collateral – including collateral segregation arrangements – and regulatory issues affecting derivatives and securities financing transactions.

 I have particular expertise in close-outs and disputes relating to derivatives, repos and stock-lending.
 
The dynamic nature of derivatives means I often advise clients on new developments in the sector including changes in regulation, structures and opportunities – recently, for example, advising on derivatives on cryptocurrencies / digital assets.

I am increasingly involved in large-scale, often regulatory-driven, documentation projects, typically being responsible for the scoping, implementation and ultimate delivery of these projects, frequently in conjunction with our Condor ALS team.
 
I also have considerable experience on structured finance transactions, particularly in connection with derivative transactions and liquidity facilities in structured finance transactions and, more generally, disputes involving structured finance transactions and similar structured products.
