The Key Changes under the Data Act, explained in 60 minutes

The new EU Data Act will come into effect on 12 September 2025, making it one of the most important sets of legislation for providers of smart products, Industry 4.0 companies and IoT businesses. Cloud providers will also face new obligations. At the same time, providers of apps and other related services in particular will gain new opportunities to expand into markets in the field of connected products.

To help you navigate this major EU initiative on data mobility, particularly machine data, our experts Renzo Marchini, Nuria Pastor and Charley Guile will guide you through the most important insights companies need to know about the Data Act. In our webinar, you will gain practical insights from our ongoing Data Act advisory work to help companies determine what data they will need to provide in the near future (and what will be out of scope).

The webinar will guide you through the following topics:

  • Scope: Who does the Data Act apply to and what data does it cover?
  • Access and Portability: Obligations for manufacturers and data owners
  • Cloud Services: Switching rights, deadlines, and contract updates
  • Interaction with the GDPR: Why hybrid data sets are becoming a problem
  • Unfair terms in B2B contracts: Dos and Don'ts
  • Compliance Roadmap: Next steps for legal and specialist departments
