For the second time, the US peer-review publication, Best Lawyers, has ranked Héctor Jausàs, a partner specialising in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry at JAUSAS, among the best lawyers of the year in Spain.
The honour was granted to the most outstanding professionals in their practice areas from among the 1,562 attorneys that Best Lawyers included in the 2016 ranking for Spain.
Héctor Jausàs was also named “Lawyer of the Year” in 2014, for his nearly 20 years of outstanding service as an advisor in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector.
“Receiving this honour for the second time reflects the quality of work of our department in a sector where specialisation is crucial to successfully resolve the complexities that arise,” Héctor Jausàs said. In total, the JAUSAS law firm is represented by seven professionals on the Best Lawyers Spanish ranking, independently validating the firm’s accomplishments in the fields of Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Law, Restructuring and Insolvency, Litigation, Commercial Law, and M&A and Franchise Law.
The ranking, which is compiled based on votes cast by peers from competing firms, includes JAUSAS Procedure attorney, Pablo Franquet. The specialist in complex litigation and cassation appeals appears on the list for the first time. Since Best Lawyers began issuing its rankings in 2006, nearly 1% of all practicing attorneys in Spain, or 149,818 individuals, had been featured as of the close of 2014, according to data from the Spanish Bar Association (Consejo General de la Abogacía Española, “CGAE”). These lawyers are classified into fifty specialties that range from traditional practise areas to business sectors like Entertainment, Energy, Insurance, and Sports.
