I have more than thirty years of professional experience as a litigant attorney.
During the last decade, my career has been mainly focused on banking litigation, with several of my cases having set a precedent before the Spanish Supreme Court. I specialize in the defence of SMEs, large companies and institutional investors against financial institutions due to bad practices in the commercialization of all types of products –especially derivates, atypical financial contracts, stocks, etc.
Nevertheless, my professional practice started in the areas of franchising, distribution, unfair competition, corporate conflicts and antitrust enforcement, where I carry out an intense activity not just regarding litigation and arbitration, but also when advising some of the most prestigious franchise networks at a national and international level.
My devotion to particularly complex issues, which combine civil and criminal proceedings, and, in some cases, a large number of victims or an international component, has allowed me to earn repute in the field of Complex Litigation.
Besides forging an extensive career as a litigation lawyer, I have also undertaken other activities and held institutional posts. I am an arbitrator for the WIPO, I founded the Spanish Franchisers Association (AEF) in 1993 and have been its legal advisor ever since, as well as being chair of its Legal Experts Committee since 2004.
I regularly write articles for the most recognised media in Spain and I have also co-authored several publications. I recently collaborated on the first edition of the book "Franquicia Mente" with the chapter "Cantos de sirena", edited by Colección Acción Empresarial de LID Editorial Empresarial, S.L., published in September 2018.
