Professional background

I obtained my master's degree in private law at the University of Groningen. Participating in the University's exchange programme, I also studied a semester abroad at the Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. I gained practical legal experience while working as a clerk at the Court of Appeal in Leeuwarden and through several internships.

In 2021, I was admitted to the Dutch Bar. I advise and litigate on a wide range of commercial matters, including matters on distribution, franchising and agency.

I am an advocate employed by Fieldfisher, which means that I only act for Fieldfisher. I have registered the following principal legal practice area in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister): Contract Law (Verbintenissenrecht). Based on this registration, I am required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
